Wingapo

Hey guys! I hope you guys had a very lovely Thanksgiving break! Fortunately this year, I was able to go to Walt Disney World, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando! I was so upset that they didn't have any Disney princess outfits in my size! I was so envious of the little girls dressing up! But II must say that I admire the power Disney has...to make someone feel like their a child again. I swear, I could be 92 years old and it would never get old for me. Harry Potter World was amazing too, but there were sooo many people! We ate at the Three Broomsticks for our Thanksgiving meal-how cool is that??? The food was perfectly appropriate and delicious for the occasion, including the butterbeer! Overall, it was absolutely magical :)
So for my outfit, I'm still in my "native phase", wearing my leather-padded shoulder top tucked into my paperbag shorts, to mimic the buckskin that they used. I also thought it was appropriate with the history of Thanksgiving-the first celebration of a good harvest season that the Pilgrims and Native Americans contributed to. Hey, two birds with one stone right? And with my, Fossil watch, leather bracelets, a statement necklace, and my mom's Vince Camuto wedges to finish off the look!

Very chill song, it makes you feel like you're drifting through the clouds.

Native Girl

Ah...here I go again, excessively procrastinating on my posts. I apologize, but school has gotten the best out of me, especially my grades. How am I a 4.4 GPA student with a 3.0 GPA?!?! But after a storm, there comes a rainbow. I'm starting off 2nd quarter strong with super high A's-96% in Trig and a 105% in Chemistry. Also, my basement and my room is re-done! YAAAYY! Not to mention everyone's guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl, has been getting extra juicy like usual, although I may add that Liz Hurley's character is quite sketchy, you don't know what she wants or who's side she's on!
Throughout my fashion journey, I've had various phases. As for now, I'm in my "Pocahontas", Free People-inspired phase, after I was being a loser and watching Pocahontas on Youtube :P As you get to know me on this blog, you will definitely see my preference of nudity (I mean the color!!!) This November has had some really odd weather patterns, so I decided to take advantage of the unexpected warm weather.

I decided to post 2 options for you guys. For those who want to reminisce our nostalgia for classic Disney movies. "Steady As The Beating Drum" from the Pocahontas soundtrack, to go along with my attempt at a Native aesthetic. Plus, it has awesome beats! :)

Or...

"Electric Feel", by MGMT. I thought it went with the natural, carefree vibe of the photography. Enjoy!

Busy Bee

Good lord, how long has it been, a month since my last post? I truly apologize, junior year has been so rough, it makes you want to set your hair on fire! Nothing has been really going well for me lately, hurricane Irene ruining my room, pulling 2 all-nighters, and having homework being your new life-especially from having 3 AP classes. It has been a miserable 2 months of school , but hopefully I can pull myself together. But taking pictures was a refreshing break from this new wave of unnecessary chaos.
Being a "nudist", I love this outfit. I recommend getting some of these pieces, since they go with everything! Nude makes a fresh alternative to just a basic neutral. Just a basic nude tank with some mocha paper bag shorts, and my handy-dandy satchel. The cardigan finishes it off, adding the perfect effortless feel.

Cardigan: New York and Company
Tank: H&M
Shorts: H&M
Wedges: Guess
Satchel: vintage Valentino
Rose gold watch: Fossil

Really nice, chill song. Perfect for relaxing, curling up into a ball with a nice hot mug of vanilla chai tea. Hope you guys bask in it as much as I do!

Blogging Basics

So...2nd day of my junior year, and I thought I'd go all out that day rather than on the first. Got so many complements on this outfit, I had to share it with you guys! But let me tell you, fashion blogging isn't easy . Living in the suburbs, it's very difficult to create a wonderful experience you could share with others.
Posing was a little hard for me since it was my first time, but Jenny guided me through it. We started off at my backyard then drove to the neighborhood lake to get some inspiration. I saw a rugged tree stump, and thought why not sit on it for the pictures? The ruggedness of it would've contrasted with the ethereal movement of my skirt. I removed the bark on the surface...YIKES! Pill bugs! Cross that off the list. As we walked through, trying to avoid snakes and gopher holes, my feet were killing me after wearing these wedges for 7 hours at school. But after itchy grass, blinding sun, and sore feet, I thought the pictures turned out quite lovely. Man, those bloggers make it look so effortless! But hey, what we do for fashion right?

Just thought this tree was cool with its isolation to its surroundings.

My lovely photographer <3

So I decided that in this blog, I would attach a song with each post that I feel depicts the mood. Followers can just read and relax with the music. Just like fashion, music can set a tone. Hope you enjoy!
